Sommelier | Wine-Driven Cocktail Bar Concept A refined cocktail and wine bar is seeking a passionate, guest-forward Sommelier to lead and elevate its wine program.Designed with cinematic detail and a sense of escape, this concept blends classic elegance with modern hospitality. The wine program features aged vintages, thoughtful pairings, and an American-meets-European point of view. About the RoleThe Sommelier is responsible for curating, managing, and executing a dynamic wine program aligned with the restaurant’s vision. This is a hands-on leadership role encompassing wine selection, inventory, staff education, guest engagement, and collaboration with culinary and operations leadership.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $80,000–$90,000

Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain a balanced, compelling, and profitable wine list
Serve as an active floor presence during service, guiding guests through wine selections
Lead daily staff education and ongoing wine training
Manage wine purchasing, vendor relationships, inventory, and cost control
Collaborate with culinary leadership on pairings, seasonal features, and tastings
Oversee cellar organization, storage standards, and inventory reconciliation
Support wine dinners, tastings, and special events
Monitor program performance, reporting on sales, COGS, and profitability
Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and safety standards
Mentor and develop FOH team members with a hospitality-first mindset
Ideal Candidate
3+ years in a wine-focused role within fine dining or elevated hospitality
Wine certification strongly preferred (CMS, WSET, or equivalent)
Confident communicator who can translate wine knowledge into engaging, guest-friendly language
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing inventory and costs
Thrives in fast-paced service environments
Passionate about wine, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences
