The Opportunity

We are seeking an Events Manager to lead and grow Musaafer’s private dining, buyouts, and special events business across all three venues. This role is ideal for a polished, entrepreneurial hospitality professional who thrives in high-profile environments and understands how to translate luxury dining into unforgettable event experiences.

You will play a critical role in positioning Musaafer as one of New York City’s premier event destinations, overseeing the full lifecycle of events—from initial inquiry through flawless execution and post-event analysis.

Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Sales & Strategy
  • Drive new event business through proactive outreach, relationship-building, and strategic sales initiatives

  • Manage and grow existing client relationships to maximize repeat business and long-term partnerships

  • Create strategies to maximize revenue, menu enhancements, and event profitability

  • Develop operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and sales reports; participate in financial review meetings

Event Planning & Execution
  • Oversee all phases of events from inquiry and proposal to execution and post-event follow-up

  • Prepare, manage, and distribute BEOs, contracts, floor plans, timelines, and final invoices

  • Conduct site visits, tastings, vendor meetings, and walkthroughs with clients and agencies

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams during events

  • Ensure seamless coordination between Events, FOH, BOH, Culinary, Finance, and Marketing teams

Leadership & Operations
  • Lead and oversee staff for events

  • Set staffing models, PARs, and call times; oversee setup and breakdown

  • Maintain preferred vendor lists, COIs, rental orders, and logistical details

  • Ensure brand standards, service excellence, safety, and DOH compliance

Brand Representation
  • Represent Musaafer at industry events, tastings, and networking opportunities

  • Collaborate with Marketing and PR to amplify visibility and demand for events

  • Ensure every event reflects Musaafer’s Michelin-level standards, creativity, and hospitality

About You

You are a hospitality professional who brings both warmth and rigor to your work:

  • Hospitable: Authentic, gracious, and guest-focused

  • Communicative: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Organized: Highly detail-oriented with strong systems and follow-through

  • Composed: Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

  • Collaborative: Works seamlessly across departments and with external partners

  • Creative & Strategic: Anticipates challenges and solves them proactively

  • Entrepreneurial: Takes ownership and drives results

  • Multilingual: A plus, but not required

Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of events or catering sales experience in fine dining

  • Michelin-starred, Forbes-rated, or luxury hospitality experience strongly preferred

  • Proven track record of managing high-touch, high-revenue events (>$1M annually a plus)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hospitality education preferred

  • Proficiency with Tripleseat, Resy/OpenTable, Avero, Toast/Aloha/Micros, Microsoft Office, Google Drive

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary $75,000–$85,000 + commission (commensurate with experience)
