Mighty Bread Company is a James Beard–nominated wholesale and retail bakery in East Passyunk. We are a busy neighborhood restaurant and create naturally leavened breads and pastries for our retail customers and some of Philadelphia’s top restaurants. We are looking to expand our growing kitchen team.

What you'll do:
- Train thoroughly to be able to execute all kitchen prep tasks, including:
- Vegetable prep
- Using meat slicer for meats and cheese
- Vinaigrettes and sauces
- Packaging of kitchen retail goods for wholesale and café sale
- Soups
- Train thoroughly to execute menu items across all stations to Mighty Bread’s quality standards
Must-haves:
- Previous experience in commercial bakery or restaurant.
- A very high level of attention to detail and quality.
- Organized, reliable, and able to move quickly when needed
- Ability to give attention to multiple tasks at a given time.
- Positively respond to direction, feedback, and requests for assistance from co-workers and managers
- Physical stamina and comfort lifting 50 lbs
- Shifts generally begin between 7:00 AM–8:00 AM. Weekend and holiday availability required.
- Willingness to handle whatever needs doing — from cooking to cleanup to prep — with a team-focused mindset
- Ability to engage in department operations by using Slack and kitchen prep sheets and order guides.
- Must keep workspace safe and clean, including food safety procedures, scrubbing and sanitizing surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, removing recycling and trash, etc.
