Job Details
 

As a server, you are hosting every table and guiding guests through their dining experience.  Your ability to explain our concept and brand as well as provide detailed information regarding our menus enhances the guests’ experience.  Your expertise regarding food, beverage, and service highlights the care we put into all aspects of the restaurant.  You have the most interaction with the guest, so it is necessary to empathize with the guest and be able to know and understand their needs.  You are responsible for making sure guests are happy throughout their meal, engaging the guest and constantly being aware of any situations that may arise. Ultimately, you’re the face of the restaurant and are the portrayal of our hospitality philosophies and beliefs.

Friendly and professional demeanor

Work well within a team

Ability to comfortably multitask

Maintain poise in high-pressure situations

Ability to move quickly and efficiently

Ability to communicate clearly

Strong knowledge of food and beverage

High set of professional standards

Capable of standing for an extended period of time


A server’s areas of direct responsibility include but are not limited to the following:

- Guide guests through concept and menus

- Provide detailed descriptions of dishes and responses to guests’ questions

- Build rapport with guests, create memorable experiences

- Understand the wants and needs of each guest

- Move quickly and efficiently while providing quality hospitality

- Maintain clean and organized work stations

- Communicating with other servers and kitchen to ensure appropriate timing

- Ensure guest comfort and satisfaction

- Uphold standards of Neighborhood Restaurant Group


Always keep in mind that you are a part of the NRG team.  From time to time your team members may ask you for help or your manager ask you to step onto another task.  Cheerful flexibility is a requirement of the job. If you don’t understand something, please ask the MOD or another senior staff member.
