Lume West Village

Lume West Village is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead daily kitchen operations at our upscale-casual, Italian-inspired neighborhood restaurant in the West Village.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a calm, organized chef who values consistency, cleanliness, and teamwork. We’re looking for someone who leads by example, executes simple food extremely well, and works closely with ownership and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute daily service with consistency

• Oversee prep, line execution, and kitchen standards

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety

• Assist with ordering, inventory, and cost control

• Support and guide the kitchen team during service

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years experience in a professional kitchen (lead role preferred)

• Strong fundamentals and Italian-inspired cooking knowledge

• Organized, reliable, and composed under pressure

• Team-focused, no-ego mindset

• Nights and weekends availability

Compensation

• $36/hour

• ~45 hours/week

• Stable schedule, professional environment
