Linden is a neighborhood-driven restaurant and bar focused on elevated food, thoughtful service, and a strong sense of community. We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations, build and inspire a high-performing team, and uphold the standards of excellence that define our brand.
This role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values structure and accountability, and leads with professionalism, empathy, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership

Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure seamless daily service

Lead, train, coach, and hold management and hourly staff accountable to performance standards

Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture

Act as the primary point of contact for ownership and corporate leadership
Guest Experience

Maintain exceptional guest service standards and proactively address guest concerns

Set the tone on the floor during service and lead by example

Monitor and respond to guest feedback and reviews professionally and constructively
Financial & Administrative Oversight

Manage labor costs, scheduling, and payroll in alignment with budgets

Oversee cash handling, deposits, and POS accuracy
-
Monitor food and beverage costs, inventory, and vendor relationships
-
Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with company policies
Compliance & Standards

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws
-
Enforce health, safety, and alcohol service standards

Uphold company policies consistently across all staff levels
Team Development

Hire, onboard, and retain top talent

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback

Address disciplinary issues professionally and in coordination with HR
Qualifications

3–5+ years of General Manager experience in a full-service restaurant or bar
-
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

Proven ability to manage labor, costs, and operational systems

Experience working with high-volume service and events preferred

Knowledge of California labor laws and hospitality compliance

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
