Position OverviewThe Sous Chef is a key member of our culinary leadership team, responsible for helping oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, staff development, and execution of our signature dishes with consistency and care. You’ll collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and management to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and culture across every service.
Responsibilities- Assist in all aspects of kitchen management, including prep, service, and closing procedures
- Lead the line during service, ensuring dishes meet recipe standards and plating consistency
- Train, mentor, and motivate line cooks, prep cooks, and dish team members
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards
- Support menu development, specials, and creative projects with the Executive Chef
- Manage ordering, inventory, and cost controls in coordination with Chef and GM
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative back-of-house environment
- 3+ years of experience as Sous Chef or lead line cook in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Deep understanding of Chinese-American cuisine or willingness to learn its traditions and techniques
- Solid grasp of kitchen operations, scheduling, ordering, and cost control
- Calm, adaptable demeanor—able to thrive during high-energy service
- Current ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
