Bartender (Experienced) — Strict Availability Required

The Brig is offering a rare bartending opportunity for a highly experienced professional. This position requires full commitment to the schedule, responsibilities, and availability requirements outlined below. If any of the requirements cannot be met, this role is not a fit.
Required Experience & Skills (Non-Negotiable)
• Minimum of 3 years bartending experience
• High-volume bartending experience
• Advanced working knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine
• Strong execution of classic and modern cocktails
• Consistently professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Ability to perform at a high level in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Friendly, upbeat and enthusiastic
Mandatory Schedule Commitment
• Immediate start: Wednesday and Thursday night shifts
• Weekend shifts in the future
• No ongoing or recurring schedule conflicts will be accommodated once hired
Holiday & Peak-Season Availability (Required)
• Holiday availability is mandatory. Time-off requests during designated blackout periods will not be approved, except as required by law
Operational Responsibility (Required)
• Must be fully capable of closing the bar independently without a manager present
• Responsible for proper cash handling, securing the premises, and strict adherence to closing procedures
• Must demonstrate reliability, accountability, and attention to detail
Additional Requirements
• Valid California alcohol service certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
