Catering Manager

Location: North Shore of Chicago
Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 annually + tips
Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Catering Operations Manager to oversee and execute exceptional catered events throughout the North Shore of Chicago. This role is ideal for a hospitality-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences.

• Manage and lead catering events ranging from 200–300 guests

• Supervise and coordinate Front of House and Back of House staff, including servers and bartenders

• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown

• Ensure seamless service and exceptional hospitality for clients and guests

• Maintain clear communication with staff, clients, and internal teams

• Drive company vehicles (cars, vans, and trucks) to and from event locations

• Uphold company standards for professionalism, appearance, and service

• Proven experience leading large-scale catered events (200–300 guests)

• Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills

• Outgoing, friendly personality with excellent communication skills

• Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure

• Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to supervise both FOH and BOH staff

• Professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance required

• Reliable transportation and clean driving record required

  • DUI within the past 7 years will not be hired and must be disclosed

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull or carry catering equipment

• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods (shifts range from 6–10 hours)

• Illinois BASSET and Food Handler Certifications required within 30 days of hire

• Illinois Food Manager Certification required within 60 days of hire

• Competitive salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year
