Position Overview
Lolita is seeking an Assistant General Manager who is highly focused, operationally sharp, and deeply passionate about nightlife hospitality. This role is central to daily operations including scheduling, floor plans, hiring and coaching staff, inventory control, health & safety standards, and overall guest experience.
The ideal Assistant General Manager leads with extreme hospitality, thrives on the floor, and inspires teams through consistent real-time coaching, active feedback, and mentorship. They are motivated by developing people, maintaining high standards, and contributing to a vibrant employee culture through strong professional communication and leadership presence.
This role requires availability to work evenings and a commitment to closing a minimum of three (3) nights per week, as well as weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Uphold Lolita brand standards, service expectations, and nightlife culture to protect the guest experience while driving sales and managing costs.

Ensure exceptional guest service across all areas of the venue; address guest concerns promptly and professionally, turning challenges into repeat visits.

Lead, coach, and develop front-of-house staff through ongoing feedback, performance expectations, and formal reviews.

Manage nightly operations including floor management, scheduling, staffing, and real-time decision-making to ensure seamless service execution.

Maintain a polished and professional venue appearance, including cleanliness, uniforms, and overall presentation standards.

Assist the General Manager with administrative responsibilities including payroll, invoices, reporting, and compliance with company policies.

Support inventory control and operational systems specific to a high-volume cocktail and nightlife environment.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
Qualifications
To successfully perform this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Minimum 2+ years of senior management experience in an upscale restaurant, cocktail bar, or nightlife-focused venue.

Strong front-of-house leadership experience in high-energy, high-volume environments.

Advanced understanding of scheduling, labor control, and financial performance.

Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.

Proven ability to coach, motivate, and retain hospitality teams.

Stable and progressive work history with a strong work ethic.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Hospitality or culinary degree is a plus.
