Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Compensation: $20 - 24 per hour + tips (from pool)

Job Description:
Bagel Joint is looking for a reliable and energetic Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and assembling bagel sandwiches, frying eggs, and prepping smoked fish for our customers. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that orders are made to exact specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items including bagel sandwiches, fried eggs, and smoked fish, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Work the sandwich and egg station during service, assembling customer orders quickly and accurately.
- Follow specific recipes and guidelines for preparing various ingredients.
- Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining speed without sacrificing quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout service.
- Assist in prepping ingredients such as slicing fish, vegetables, and other items as needed for the day’s menu.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures, ensuring that kitchen and food prep areas are clean and sanitary.
- Collaborate with the Floor Manager and other team members to create a smooth workflow and provide excellent customer service.
- Restock and organize supplies in the kitchen as necessary.
- Assist with opening or closing duties depending on shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow health and safety standards by maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Current Food Handler’s License
