Overview:
We are seeking a Sushi Helper to support a refined, reservation-only Japanese omakase counter. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the kitchen and ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and supporting high-level execution behind the scenes.
This is a disciplined, detail-oriented environment where precision and consistency matter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing and maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen tools and equipment
- Keeping prep areas, stations, and storage areas clean and organized
- Assisting the chef with basic food preparation as directed
- Supporting service flow during omakase service
- Following strict cleanliness, safety, and food-handling standards
- Respecting the pace, structure, and standards of an omakase kitchen
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently
- Comfort working in a quiet, focused kitchen environment
- Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus, but not required
- Interest in Japanese cuisine or fine dining is a plus
