Cafe Santorini is a busy, high-quality kitchen that takes pride in delivering exceptional food and memorable dining experiences. We’re looking for a skilled Sauté Cook to join our culinary team and bring precision, flavor, and speed to our sauté station.
Job Summary:
The Sauté Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking dishes using sauté techniques, ensuring each plate meets our quality, consistency, and presentation standards. This position plays a key role on the hot line, requiring excellent timing, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple pans at once in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Cook proteins, vegetables, pasta, and sauces to proper doneness and texture.

Follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and plating instructions.

Manage prep work for the station, including chopping, blanching, and sauce preparation.

Coordinate with other line cooks to ensure smooth ticket flow and timely service.

Maintain food quality, freshness, and rotation using FIFO methods.

Keep work area clean, stocked, and organized during service.

Perform end-of-shift breakdown, cleaning, and proper storage of ingredients.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sauté Cook or Line Cook in a high-volume kitchen.

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, pan sauces, and flavor building.

Ability to multi-task and work efficiently during peak service.

Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work over hot stoves.

Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
