The Bartender is responsible for delivering polished, attentive, and consistent bar service that reflects the elevated hospitality standards of Walker Hotel. This role requires strong technical execution, confident guest interaction, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, hotel-driven environment.
Bartenders are key ambassadors of the guest experience and are expected to balance efficiency with professionalism while maintaining composure and attention to detail throughout service.

Reports to: Lead Bartender, Bar Manager, and/or Restaurant General Manager
Works closely with: Barbacks, Servers, Hosts, Expo, and FOH Leadership
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Bar Service & Guest Experience
Bartenders are expected to deliver high-quality beverage service while engaging guests with confidence and hospitality.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer according to established recipes and standards
• Provide polished, professional service aligned with Walker Hotel expectations
• Engage guests with product knowledge, attentiveness, and discretion
• Maintain awareness of guest pacing, preferences, and overall experience
Technical Execution & Accuracy
Consistency and accuracy are essential to success in this role.
• Follow all recipes, pour standards, garnish execution, and presentation guidelines
• Maintain speed and accuracy during high-volume service
• Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with all laws and policies
• Maintain focus and composure during peak service periods
Bar Setup, Cleanliness & Organization
Bartenders are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and service-ready bar.
• Assist with opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar stations and work areas
• Properly use and care for bar tools, glassware, and equipment
• Support restocking and organization in coordination with barbacks
Team Communication & Collaboration
Strong teamwork and communication are critical to smooth service execution.
• Communicate clearly with the Lead Bartender and bar team during service
• Coordinate with servers and FOH team members to support service flow
• Share service challenges or guest concerns with leadership as needed
• Maintain a calm, respectful tone during high-pressure situations

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
This is a hospitality role within a hotel restaurant that operates year-round. Schedules may include a mix of days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Employees are scheduled in accordance with availability approved by management at the time of hire. Schedule needs may vary week to week, and flexibility is important to support overall operations.
