Confidant Hospitality is now hiring a Host for our new location in Brooklyn Heights!
Confidant aims to modernise Brooklyn Height’s historic neighborhood through high-level execution and an intentional, evolving menu. In a refined and relaxed dining room, seasonal a la carte dishes showcase the dynamic creativity of Chefs Brendan Kelly, Dan Grossman, and Pastry Chef Mariah Neston. With a robust natural wine selection, as well as a cocktail list highlighting global indigenous expressions of spirits, the beverage program rises to the occasion of ingenuity. We are a team that takes craft and humanism equally seriously: a joyful practice.
The Host is a leading voice of contact for our guests, communicating the care of Confidant from booking to seating to see you soon. We’re looking for someone soulfully stylish who moves with a gracious precision, maintaining balanced urgency and kindness. They will be an exquisite communicator, confident, clear, and a skillful listener. The Host must also be keen to research and outreach: understanding our surrounding community will be crucial to our business growing within it.
The Host reports to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager. Compensation begins at $22.00 per hour plus tips.
Position Requirements
- Joie de vivre.
- A minimum 2 years of experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.
- We will be open for dinner service Wednesday to Sunday: full time availability is a must.
- Deep comfort with Resy.
- Organizational prowess, managing reservations with strategic pacing respective to the flow of service.
- The ability to multitask and coordinate effectively with floor and kitchen management.
- A gracious demeanor when handling special guests.
- Apt attention to guest details in service of elevating every dining experience.
- Cultural awareness: knowledge of NYC events and neighborhood activities that may impact business.
- A polished presence.
