Chef Matt Baker, owner and executive chef of Lucille’s, is seeking professional, skilled bartenders who deliver world-class service with energy, precision, and flair. At this modern, upscale steakhouse, where premium cuts, polished service, and genuine hospitality come together, you’ll join a growing restaurant group and work alongside one of the city’s most respected culinary and hospitality leaders to craft memorable experiences for every guest. 

 

What We Are Looking For 

We want someone who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment and takes pride in crafting exceptional cocktails and beverage experiences. You should have experience in a high-volume, full-service bar, ideally in fine dining or premium steakhouse settings. Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail techniques is essential, along with the ability to provide polished, attentive service while creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests. 

The ideal candidate is also responsible for taking orders and serving guests at high tops and bar tables, ensuring a complete, elevated experience throughout the bar area.

Position Summary 

Bartenders at Lucille’s are responsible for crafting cocktails, serving wine and beer, and delivering exceptional beverage service while maintaining a polished, welcoming environment. You will collaborate closely with the Bar Manager and Bar Team, to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy, consistency, and speed. 
  • Greet and engage with guests, providing recommendations and ensuring a personalized, memorable experience. 
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the beverage program, including seasonal cocktails, wine lists, spirits, and beer selections. 
  • Perform daily stock checks and assist with ordering to maintain bar operations. 
  • Ensure the bar is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times, including glassware, garnishes, and supplies. 
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and operational standards, including responsible alcohol service. 
  • Upsell cocktails, wine, and other beverages in a polished, consultative manner. 
  • Handle guest questions or concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining the highest level of hospitality. 
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior bar staff, modeling professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Previous bartending experience in fine dining, upscale, or high-volume restaurant/bar environments. 
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail techniques. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset. 
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a polished, professional presence. 
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs., and perform repetitive motions. 
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($10.00 - $15.00) plus tips

Lucille’s Modern Chophouse is meant to feel both timeless and fresh. It’s a restaurant that respects the steakhouse tradition but updates it with global seasoning and refined technique.

Chef Matt Baker’s goal here is simple: take everything people love about classic steakhouses and rebuild it with precision, personality, and a modern palate.

Lucille’s is indulgent, but never heavy—luxurious, but not fussy. It’s a chophouse for 2025 and beyond.
