Job Details
Oriana is the latest venture from Chef Andy Quinn and Sommelier Cedric Nicaise, an evolution of The Noortwyck and a new expression of their shared vision. The restaurant is slated to open in mid to late February.

Oriana is where fire meets flavor in the heart of Nolita. We deliver technique without the formality and are focused on reclaiming what a wood-fired restaurant is. Oriana honors the legacy of great New York restaurants while creating something new: a downtown restaurant where food, wine and culture come together. At Oriana, the Porter is responsible for helping receive and storing food and paper goods orders, washing and organizing dishes, cleaning the main dining rooms and private dining rooms, cleaning the bathrooms, trash removal, and other activities to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Reports to the Chef de Cuisine and/or Sous Chefs.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Willingness to perform repetitive physical tasks, including standing for long periods
  • Ability to life up to 50 lbs (pots, racks, deliveries)
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work safely around hot equipment, chemicals, and sharp tools
  • Willingness to assist with general kitchen and dining room cleaning tasks
