Job Details
Oriana is the latest venture from Chef Andy Quinn and Sommelier Cedric Nicaise, an evolution of The Noortwyck and a new expression of their shared vision. The restaurant is slated to open in mid to late February.

Oriana is where fire meets flavor in the heart of Nolita. We deliver technique without the formality and are focused on reclaiming what a wood-fired restaurant is. Oriana honors the legacy of great New York restaurants while creating something new: a downtown restaurant where food, wine and culture come together. As a prep cook, you have a genuine passion for hospitality and communication. You will be responsible for many facets of prep throughout the kitchen and to uphold the standards of quality and consistency set by the chef.

Responsibilities:
  • To prepare specific food items on the menu; ensuring consistency, quality and accuracy of recipes
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines
  • Set up and maintain assigned kitchen work stations
  • Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss and waste
  • Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times
  • Stores food properly and safely, marking the date and item
  • Reports necessary equipment repairs to management
  • Keeps work area neat and clean at all times; cleans and maintains equipment in food preparation
  • Other back of house duties assigned by management

  • Must be able to life/carry items up to 35 lbs and push/pull items up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $22.00)
