Executive Assistant - Leading Fast-Casual Restaurant Group

Unique and exciting opportunity to join a leading LA fast-casual restaurant group with a Monday-Friday schedule! The company is looking to bring on an Executive Assistant to work in close collaboration with and support the Owner. This technique-driven group is dedicated to consistent quality products for their guests, and are incredibly thoughtful with how they run the business. Looking for a sharp, resourceful, and self-motivated individual with aligned values.

This is a high-level support position for the corporate office and their company of restaurants that will help oversee, manage, and streamline numerous aspects of the business in collaboration with ownership and other executive leadership, in addition to assisting the Owner with some personal tasks/projects. This role will report to and train under ownership’s current Executive Assistant, whose role with the company will be expanding. This position requires a versatile, detail-oriented candidate with a can-do attitude and a knack for perfection. Restaurant industry/operational experience is highly preferred, but no prior Exec Assistant experience is needed. Candidates must be able to work out of the corporate office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities & Objectives Include:

  • Work closely with ownership and executive team on operational goals and strategic initiatives, ensuring successful follow through and execution
  • Occasional travel to store locations to ensure proper rollout of any company-wide policy or procedural changes
  • Streamline communications with restaurant staff on behalf of ownership and leadership teams
  • Calendar Management: planning and scheduling meetings and appointments and looking for ways to improve efficiency and prioritization
  • Screening and directing phone calls and distributing correspondence as needed
  • Maintain and refine internal processes and coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflows
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and contributing thoughtful ideas on how to improve the business
  • Conducting in depth research for various business and personal projects and preparing comprehensive, detailed reports and proposals
  • Writing emails, faxing, copying, and creating spreadsheets or printing documents
  • Ensuring confidential and sensitive information is handled with the utmost care
  • Manage contract and price negotiations with vendors, service providers, and distributors
  • Address employees’ queries regarding office and in-store management issues (e.g. stationery, Hardware, travel arrangements, etc.)
  • Maintaining the office condition and arranging necessary repairs
  • Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
  • Follow up with all repair & maintenance requests
  • Partner with HR/legal to update and maintain office policies as necessary and act as a first line of contact for ownership with employee relations/legal matters 
  • Support a positive, empowered work environment consistent with company values
  • Assisting ownership with personal projects and support tasks as needed

Candidate Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5-6+ years of progressive, relevant career and operational experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry (i.e. Area Director, Regional Director, Multi-Unit Manager, Area Operations Manager, General Manager, or comparable operations role)
  • Restaurant industry experience highly desired, preferably in multiunit operations
  • Corporate restaurant backgrounds in the fast casual sector are highly preferred
  • NO prior Executive Assistant experience required
  • Strong collaborative spirit and works well with others
  • Extremely detail oriented and high-level organizational skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence, well-rounded skillset, and a can-do attitude
  • Proclivity for conducting comprehensive research and compiling detailed, accurate reports and proposals
  • Forward thinking with a passion for innovation and staying on top of current industry trends
  • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Strong time-management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects
  • Technologically savvy and proficiency with office productivity tools and an aptitude for learning new software and systems
  • Highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a team environment with hands-on ownership
  • A passion for doing things right and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to the company and its employees
  • Flexible availability to occasionally assist with urgent or high-priority matters outside of normal business hours

Compensation Package Includes:

  • Base Salary in the $80-125k range DOE
