Chef de Cuisine

Bloomsday is a neighborhood restaurant, wine bar and retail shop in Headhouse Square, owned by Kelsey Bush and Zach Morris. Our kitchen is focused on thoughtful, seasonal cooking with a strong emphasis on scratch production, sourced largely from local farmers and producers.

We’re seeking a Chef de Cuisine to help lead the kitchen. This is a hands-on role for a confident, organized leader who enjoys collaboration and wants real influence over menu direction, team culture, and daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations and service execution
• Collaborative menu development and seasonal planning 
• Collaborate with front of house management on service and hospitality standards
• Manage BOH scheduling, training, and staff development
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and organization
• Oversee labor, inventory, COGS, and vendor relationships
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and equipment standards

Ideal Candidate

• Proven BOH leader with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable running service and leading diverse teams
• Excited to collaborate 
• Connected to (or invested in) Philadelphia’s food scene
• Values calm, respectful kitchens and long-term stability

Bloomsday Hours

• Dinner: Wednesday–Saturday
• Brunch: Friday–Sunday

Compensation: Salary, based on experience
