Benedict’s La Strata is a busy, well-established brunch restaurant in Crystal Lake known for great food, great service, and a positive team culture. We are seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to lead daily FOH operations and support continued growth.
Position Overview
The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing all FOH staff and service operations during breakfast and lunch service. This role is hands-on and ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train, and manage FOH staff including hosts, servers, expos, and food runners

Create and manage weekly staff schedules

Ensure consistent, high-quality guest service

Handle customer concerns and resolutions professionally

Manage daily FOH operations and workflow
-
Close out registers and servers at end of day

Maintain and update Toast POS (pricing changes, menu updates, specials)

Oversee general restaurant upkeep and maintenance

Prepare for and manage city health inspections

Uphold company standards, policies, and procedures

Foster a positive, upbeat, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications

Previous experience as a FOH Manager or Restaurant Manager (brunch or high-volume preferred)

Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities

Experience with Toast POS or similar systems

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

Comfortable leading by example during service
