Max & Helen’s is hiring a Floor Manager!

From Phil Rosenthal of Somebody Feed Phil and James Beard Award–winning Chef Nancy Silverton of the Mozza Restaurant Group comes Larchmont Village’s first classic neighborhood diner — Max & Helen’s. A modern take on the old-school American diner, we serve the comforting favorites you know and love, from matzoh ball soup and patty melts to breakfast plates, house-baked treats, and malted milkshakes.

We’re building a passionate, thoughtful, and energetic team and are currently seeking a Floor Manager to help lead front-of-house service as we continue to grow.

What we’re looking for:
  • A natural leader with genuine warmth and a true love for hospitality

  • Strong floor presence and the ability to lead by example during service

  • A calm, confident communicator with a solution-oriented mindset

  • A natural ability to read the room and deliver both relaxed diner comfort and elevated service

  • Someone who enjoys coaching, supporting, and motivating a team in real time

  • A desire to build community and help shape something special from the ground up

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading daily floor operations to ensure smooth, consistent, and welcoming service

  • Supporting servers, hosts, and support staff throughout service

  • Upholding service standards, pacing, and guest experience

  • Handling guest needs and concerns with care, professionalism, and discretion

  • Assisting with training, onboarding, and ongoing development of FOH staff

  • Working closely with kitchen leadership to ensure seamless service flow

Details:
  • Full-time position

  • Store hours: 8am–8pm daily (weekend availability required)

  • Prior restaurant management or floor leadership experience (2+ years) strongly preferred

  • This is a hands-on role — managers are expected to be present on the floor during service

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($83,000.00 - $90,000.00)
