I Cavallini, the new fine dining Italian restaurant from the crew behind The Four Horsemen is seeking line cooks. We're expanding our hours to 7 days/wk and are hoping to find some strong candidates to fill out our team.
We offer an exciting opportunity in an ambitious and creative environment, working directly alongside chef Nick Curtola.
We are a very busy restaurant with a high attention to detail and an intense desire to cook the best seasonal food that we can using the highest level of produce from local farms as well as seafood highlighting the Northeast Atlantic and Meat and Game from small and passionate craftspeople that supply the highest level restaurants in NYC. We have a line outside of the restaurant each day and over a month long wait list, so it's crucial that each guest that walks through our doors feels special and taken care of.

This is a full time position offering roughly 45 hours/wk. We work in shifts of 4 days on/3 days off. Your days off are always in a row and we do our best to accommodate time off and vacation requests throughout the year.
As a line cook, your requirements and responsibilities will include the following:
- 3 Years of Experience in a Busy Fine-Dining Kitchen
- Strong commitment to excellence
- Sense of urgency
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Being punctual and ready to go at your clock-in time
- Ability to stay focused and learn new tasks quickly
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and get better each day
- Inventory Management with regards to your station and daily ordering
- Producing mise en place for service, private dining and special events
- Organizing and cleaning your station and working efficiently throughout service
- Cleaning and turning down your station at the end of service
- Basic understanding of how to use all of the equipment required to produce your mise en place safely
This position requires full time availability, including days, nights & weekends
