Barista

Copperleaf Bakery is looking for an experienced counterperson/barista who has a sense of urgency, can stay organized, and excel in excellent customer service under pressure. We aim to be a high-volume bakery with a loyal customer base as we're a start-up. As well as a reputation for quality in all the products we serve.

While we are happy to train, this role is more mid-level. We need counter staff that has worked a premium espresso bar, knows the flow of a jam-packed morning/ lunch rush, is keen on the understanding of timing, presentation, and consistency.

What you'll do:

• Prepare espresso drinks and other beverages with speed and precision
• Greet customers, take orders accurately, and process transactions using a POS system
• Manage pastry and cake orders — in person, and by phone.
• Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
• Restock milk, cups, pastry items, and other supplies as needed
• Maintain professionalism and hospitality even during busy periods

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year experience as a barista and/or counter service professional
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
• Fast, clean, and detail-oriented behind the bar
• Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Food handler’s certificate is a plus
• Friendly, sharp, and reliable — no drama

Compensation:

Hourly pay based on experience + tips (customer tip generously)
Part-time and full-time positions available
