Seeking a motivated Executive Sous Chef to oversee all aspects of culinary operations in our busy stadium in New Orleans. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in high-energy environments, leading a team, and ensuring all food is of top quality — all while managing the hustle during big game days and events.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the culinary team, including Sous Chefs and Lead Cooks, through planning, scheduling, and coaching
- Keep everyone on the same page by consistently enforcing policies and standards
- Help train, develop, and review team members, plus handle payroll and performance issues
- Lead menu planning, focusing on quality, creativity, and controlling food costs
- Assist with developing new menus in the premium outlet to enhance guest experience
- Oversee the creation of innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective menus and specials, with regular reporting on food costs and performance
- Manage budgets, find ways to save costs, and meet financial goals
- Keep track of inventory, handle ordering, and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Ensure all operations meet sanitation, safety, and health standards
- Step in to run the Food & Beverage operation when needed, especially during busy game days or events
- Interact with fans and guests, handling special requests or issues as they arise
- Support the team through a major location revamp — this will involve hard work at first to elevate the operation to the level the company expects, but it’s a great opportunity to make a lasting impact
- Be flexible with your schedule—nights, weekends, and holidays are part of the gig, and some travel might be involved
What We’re Looking For:
- 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced operation, ideally with leadership experience in a stadium or large event setting
- Prior experience managing multiple outlets and very high-volume service in a stadium environment is a must
- Proven success in boosting efficiency, quality, and controlling costs
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Good knowledge of sanitation, equipment, safety standards, and HACCP principles (training a plus)
- Organized, adaptable, and ready to thrive in a lively environment
- Comfortable working long hours on your feet and managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
What We Offer:
- Salary up to $95,000 depending on experience
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Life and disability coverage
- Paid time off
- 401(k) plan
