Aziza, led by Michelin-starred Chef Mourad Lahlou, is seeking a knowledgeable and hospitality-driven Assistant Sommelier / Assistant Manager to join our front-of-house leadership team. Our cuisine reflects a thoughtful balance of modern technique and tradition, rooted in Moroccan flavors and spices. Aziza is equally known for its curated wine program, innovative cocktails, and warm, professional service.
This position is ideal for a motivated hospitality professional looking to grow within a Michelin-caliber restaurant while contributing to both wine service excellence and daily operations management.
Schedule: Dinner service Wednesday–Sunday; brunch Saturday & Sunday
Availability: Weekends required

Experience in an upscale-casual or fine dining restaurant

Strong foundational wine knowledge; certifications (CMS, WSET, etc.) a plus

Passion for wine service, guest education, and thoughtful pairings

Working knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and beer

Leadership mindset with the ability to support and guide front-of-house staff

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment

Team-oriented, respectful, and ego-free approach

Knowledge of sanitation and health department standards

Current Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service certification

Support execution and maintenance of Aziza’s wine program

Provide polished wine service and guest-focused recommendations

Assist with wine ordering, inventory, and organization

Act as a floor manager during service to ensure smooth operations

Assist with opening/closing duties and daily FOH operations

Help train and mentor front-of-house staff

Step into service roles as needed to support the team

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors when required
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($19.18) plus tips
