Sqirl is a legacy restaurant in Los Angeles that is continuing to evolve into dinner service. We are looking for hosts who are enthusiastic and passionate about hospitality, to join our team. You must have empathy, a good sense of humor and deep care for the work. Experience is preferred, however, we are happy to teach anyone who is open to it and has a great attitude. We are looking for candidates who are available to start training the week of January 21, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests to Sqirl.
- Manage all reservations to execute an efficient and seamless service.
- Guide all guests to their respective seats.
- Monitor waitlists and accurately quote wait times.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all guests, ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain a neat and organized host stand.
- Assist guests with any questions regarding the restaurant and menu.
- Handle guest correspondence via e-mail and Resy platforms.
- Assist and support the rest of the team as necessary.
- Perform any necessary side work and related tasks to ensure a prepared and efficient service.
- Assist with any guest issues and communicate with management to find a prompt solution.
- Uphold and execute Sqirl service and hospitality standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ of experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
- Proficiency & knowledge of Resy preferred.
- Positive attitude with a desire to develop new skills.
- Open availability and flexibility to work weekends, holidays if necessary.
- MUST have good punctuality and time management skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflicts.
- Must have a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift or carry items weighing up to 25lbs.
