We are seeking a strong, service-driven Sous Chef to join a Michelin-caliber culinary team in New York City. This is a leadership role for a cook who thrives in precision, pace, and accountability while maintaining a supportive, mentorship-focused kitchen culture.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of three years of New York City experience in reputable, high-volume restaurants and is confident running the pass, guiding a brigade, and protecting standards during demanding services.
Key Responsibilities

Expedite service with composure, clarity, and urgency

Lead and mentor line cooks; support hiring, training, and development

Maintain excellence in food quality, consistency, and presentation

Ensure readiness and execution across all stations

Partner with Chef leadership on ordering, inventory, prep systems, and sanitation

Contribute to administrative organization and cost awareness, including food cost and P&L literacy
Qualifications

3+ years NYC kitchen experience in a fine-dining or Michelin-level environment

Proven leadership presence and ability to direct service

Strong technical foundation across hot line, garde manger, and production

Deep respect for systems, discipline, and cleanliness

Ability to balance refinement with volume
