Bartender

Esmé is seeking a creative and motivated bartender to join our team! 

Our ideal candidate is seeking an opportunity to grow within a program that focus on artistry and community. Nestled in Lincoln Park, Esme's cocktail program is an extension of the Michelin starred tasting menu. We focus on using seasonal and elevated ingredients in imaginative ways. The cocktail program strives to offer creative expression to each staff member through technique driven drinks. Every applicant must complete a cover letter to be considered for the role. Responsibilities:

• Welcoming guests, understanding their drink preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Strong understanding of spirits, cocktails, and wine. 
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate.
• Maintaining a clean work environment and dining area throughout service and beyond.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong sense of urgency.
• Maintaining a positive, and professional attitude towards guests and co-workers alike.
• Able to work evening service shifts, weekends and holidays when required

Chef Jenner Tomaska and wife and partner Katrina Bravo reimagine the tasting- menu model with philanthropy and art integrated into the foundation of the experience, an expression of their shared vision for the community-focused restaurant.
The team partners with a local artist each season and displays their pieces throughout the restaurant for guests to view and purchase. The culinary team curates a tasting menu to compliment the featured artwork.

Applicants must have some weekend availability and be comfortable with prepping their own mise en place. We are excited to here from you!
