JF Restaurants is looking for an experienced
Overnight In-Room Dining Cook at
the Wall Street Hotel. This role will ensure In-Room Dining services run smoothly in the kitchen, while upholding the food quality.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and prepare all overnight orders from guest rooms.
- Execute all food items and mise-en-place with precision and consistency.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding product quality and inventory levels.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and purpose in all tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment throughout the shift in accordance with Health Department and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all the products and prepared items are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated following FIFO (first in, first out).
- Perform station break-downs and deep cleaning duties with pride and professionalism.
- All other responsibilities assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of kitchen experience in a culinary driven or fine dining restaurant
- The ability to work an overnight schedule
- Strong knowledge of food handling, culinary skills and cooking techniques
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to multitask while maintaining quality standards of the restaurant
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
