General Overview:
Runners are responsible for ensuring guests’ food is brought out to them with accuracy, the proper temperature, and within a timely manner.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave to prepare for new arrivals.
- Reset tables with clean utensils, napkins, and condiments to ensure a polished dining experience.
- Refill water glasses and offer water upon guests' arrival.
- Assist guests with special requests, such as providing highchairs, extra napkins, or other needs.
- Proactively address customer needs and communicate feedback to servers or managers.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area by promptly clearing debris and addressing spills.
- Sweep and mop floors, empty trash bins, and dispose of waste as required.
- Replenish tabletop supplies, including napkins and condiments, to ensure readiness for service.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables, assisting servers during busy periods.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
- Work closely with hosts/hostesses to manage seating arrangements and optimize customer flow.
- Collaborate with the team to create a seamless and efficient dining experience for guests.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, maintaining high standards of sanitation and hygiene throughout the dining area.
Requirements:
- May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to perform and thrive in fast-paced environment.
- The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Able to approach their work with a sense of ownership and urgency.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
