Prep Cook

The Prep Cook (AM/PM) is responsible for ensuring the kitchen is ready for service by preparing ingredients, following recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for the culinary arts who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Ingredient Preparation:

  • Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
  • Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.

• Recipe Execution:

  • Follow standardized recipes and plating guides.
  • Assist with making sauces, dressings, marinades, and other prep tasks as directed.

• Kitchen Support:

  • Restock prep stations during service as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage of food items in compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Cleanliness and Organization:

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
  • Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment and storage areas.

• Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and leadership to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support line cooks and chefs during service as required.

• Prior experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
