Reservationist will be responsible for fielding all inquiries and requests for reservations for the restaurant and lounge, including large parties, and events; Creating and updating guests profiles in our reservation system, organizing & planning large dinner reservations, and lounge tables.

As a Reservationist, you help meet the standards by which our restaurant is judged in your communication, your disposition, and your attitude towards the guest. Although you may not be in full view of the guest, you only get one opportunity to make a first impression.
Good communication skills are a must. Your professional relationship with all potential guests is vital to the operation of the restaurant. You must be able to anticipate guest needs, as well as communicate those needs to the management team. Many times, you will be asked to take care of the problem yourself.
Due to the nature of our business, this position is required to work weekends and holidays.
The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- To deliver excellence in customer service.
- Develop relationships with guests in order to provide personalized service & increase sales
- Act as ambassador and protector of the brand. Ensuring company culture is carried at all levels.
- Resolve guest complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Responds to guests’ requests in an accurate and timely manner, creating a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience.
- Remain attentive, accountable and well organized with the ability to execute multiple activities and meet required deadlines.
- Answers phones and/or email correspondence; Keeps accurate count of waitlist and reservations.
- Participate in teamwork and assist other departments when needed.
- Undertake regular internal inspections to ensure company’s assets are well maintained and protected.
- Attends all restaurant required meetings and trainings.
- Assure the proper handling of VIPs. Protect their privacy and confidentiality.
- Ensuring compliance to all of Jean’s policies and procedures at all levels.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, holidays and weekends.
- Maintain knowledge of our food & beverage menus, for both day to day service and events.
- Has complete knowledge of the floor plan, table #’s and
- Recognizes and acknowledges all VIP’s by name.
- Create customer/guest profiles in Jean’s reservation database.
- Field all inquiries for reservations, and communicates large party reservations and events to appropriate personnel.
- Communicates guests needs to staff/management, i.e. celebrating anniversary and/or birthday, etc.
- Alerts the Chef/manager of business flow.
- All other responsibilities appropriately assigned by Management.
