Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Restaurant Manager to contribute to all aspects of FARMSHOP Santa Monica restaurant operations. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hospitality, service, and operational excellence while upholding FARMSHOP's commitment to exceptional food and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership
o Lead and manage all front of house team members and assist in restaurant operations.
o Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations.
o Monitor and control restaurant expenses, food and beverage, and labor costs.
o Present weekly sales numbers at manager meetings and project budgets for the following week.
o Oversee restaurant maintenance and cleanliness to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
o Keep POS up-to-date with regular menu audits, inventory management.
o Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.

Team Management
o Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
o Ensure adherence to development standards of all restaurant staff.
o Training of FOH staff to ensure the highest service standards are maintained.
o Schedule and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs.
o Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
o Coordinate daily lineup meetings with staff to highlight new dishes, wines, and service standards.
o Uphold the highest standards of service and guest engagement, coaching and mentoring employees as needed.
o Ensure daily adherence to opening and closing side work sheets and all health and safety protocols.

Guest Experience
o Work with the host team to provide the best possible service to guests upon arrival and departure.
o Monitor guest satisfaction and feedback.
o Respond promptly to inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
o Ensure a positive dining experience for all guests in both the marketplace and restaurant.
o Escalate negative reviews as needed to address underlying issues and maintain the restaurant's reputation.

Community Engagement
o Represent FARMSHOP in the local community.
o Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
o Enhance brand visibility and reputation.

Continuous Improvement
o Stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics.
o Adapt strategies and initiatives to meet evolving consumer demands.
o Provide insights, analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Facility and Maintenance
o Coordinate with onsite team and external vendors to ensure timely and efficient facility maintenance.
o Assist in facility-related projects and renovations, including budgeting and scheduling.
o Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.

Payroll Processing Support
o Assist with payroll processing tasks, including data entry, daily verification of employee hours, and reconciliation.

Toast POS System and XtraChef Management
o Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Toast POS / XtraChef system.
o Train staff on Toast POS/ XtraChef system functionalities and troubleshoot any technical issues.
o Utilize data analytics to optimize sales strategies and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

● Previous experience in a similar or related role is required.
● 5+ years proven experience in restaurant management, with experience in a leadership role.
● Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
● Strong knowledge of food, spirits, wine, and beer.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with guests and
team members.
● Strong business acumen and financial management skills, with the ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets,
and achieve financial targets.
● Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
● Knowledge of local food and beverage trends, culinary techniques, and industry best practices.
● Proficiency in restaurant management software and G-Suite.
● ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification & RBS Certification


Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $80,000.00)
