Bartolo opened in Late July of 2025 and  is the newest restaurant from the team behind Ernesto's, bringing the vibrant flavors and culture of Madrid to West Fourth Street in NYC. Combining old-world charm with the energy of the modern city, Bartolo offers a refined yet lively dining experience, featuring Madrid-style cuisine, an extensive sherry selection, and a carefully curated list of natural Spanish wines. Our team is passionate about hospitality, craftsmanship, and creating a welcoming space where guests can experience the best of Spain in the heart of New York.

We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to join our opening team.  The right candidate has a deep admiration for exceptional hospitality, enjoys working with a team, and has a desire to learn and grow with one of the hottest culinary brands in the city.

Responsibilities

  • Servers: 
    • Provide exceptional guest experience 
    • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure accurate and timely service
    • Guide guests through the menu and beverage offerings
    • Take accurate orders and ensure seamless dining experiences 
    • Maintain extensive knowledge of the menu 
    • Work efficiently in a high-paced environment
    • Guide guests through menus with confidence and enthusiasm 
    • Contribute to a positive team culture
    • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally
    • Be a proactive team player—support your teammates to ensure seamless service
    • Knowledge of natural Spanish wine a plus
    • Knowledge of Toast a plus
Server Requirements:
  • 2+ years of restaurant experience in the hospitality industry
  • Fine dining experience preferred
  • Must have excellent knowledge of fine dining room and service procedures and functions
  • Outstanding guest service skills
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must be a team player/work well with others
  • Professional presentation and positive attitude
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment

  • Server Assistants: 
    • Support servers in delivering excellent guest experiences 
    • Clear and reset tables efficiently
    • Ensure table maintenance
    • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the server stations.
    • Assist in food running as needed
    • Keep service stations stocked and organized
    • Communicate with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure smooth coordination of food service and guest satisfaction.
    • Previous barista experience a plus
  • Runners:
    • Deliver food orders efficiently and accurately
    • Communicate between the kitchen and front-of-house teams
    • Ensure timely service 
    • Maintain an organized and clean expo area
    • Assist in explaining dishes to guests when necessary

Server Assistant and Runner Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a fine dining or high-end restaurant environment is a plus. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Professional appearance and demeanor. 
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences. 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility with hours, including evenings and weekends.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips
