Job Details

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Host to join our exceptional team of service leaders.

This role is always attentive to the overall first impression a guest receives, greeting all guests with warmth and hospitality.  The Host will be the individual to portray the exemplary role of the host team, handle the pressure of the seating demands, manuever the high stress on guests demands, and support managers in operations to maximize table seating.

Your Responsibilities:
• Greet guests in a warm, friendly and sincere manner. 
• Provide a warm welcome and a fond farewell upon departure.
• Answers phone calls and guest inquiries.
• Has full knowledge of the floor plan and seating charts
• Manage the day to day reservations, walk-in and cancellations/ no-show in the reservation system
• Seat guests in accordance to their preferences and under the direction of the Manager on duty.
• Responsible for the overall presentation, cleanliness and organization of the assigned guest service areas, such as the coat check, bathrooms, and other guest spaces.
• Guides guest to assigned table and ensure their satisfaction.

Your Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate has 3 years of reservations or host experience in fine dining restaurants.
• You must be organized, motivating, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and of course personable.
• Working knowledge of reservation management systems is highly preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (including nights, weekends, and holidays)

Le Jardinier is a modern vegetable-driven restaurant created by Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzeroli, longtime protégé of legendary French chef Joël Robuchon, who also trained under Alain Passard at Arpège and Guy Savoy at Taillevent in Paris. The team includes Executive Pastry Chef Salvatore Martone, who worked with Robuchon for 13 years at Restaurant Joël Robuchon in Las Vegas as well as L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in New York, and Head Baker Tetsuya Yamaguchi, who worked with Robuchon for over 20 years at his restaurants around the world. Designed by award-winning French architect Joseph Dirand, the restaurant is situated in the new luxury condominium 100 East 53rd Street, developed by Aby Rosen, and designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Norman Foster. Le Jardinier (the French word for gardener) will feature approachable yet refined vegetable-driven dishes, rooted in classic French technique. Chef Verzeroli has created a menu where plants play a prominent role: local, seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, and greens are complemented by fish, meat and poultry. The menu also features several vegetarian and gluten-free options.
