Job description:

Cornerstone is expanding and we are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team! We are passionate about what we do and are looking for like-minded team players who are dedicated to their craft. Here at Cornerstone, we strive everyday to provide an amazing guest experience through beautiful food and hospitality.

We opened Cornerstone's doors in October 2015 as a 14+ seat BYOB restaurant and artisanal market with a focus on oysters, cheese, charcuterie, fresh pastas and highlighting seasonal small and large plates. After 2 years of success and support of the industry and guests joining us from DC to Boston, we have been afforded the opportunity to expand. We have expanded the space next door to include an additional 30 seats, full bar with an incredible wine and craft cocktail program and an expansion of our raw bar program. We draw inspiration from all of our travels from the Sonoma Coast to the Nantucket shorelines to create an elegant yet relaxed dining experience. We are looking to hire immediately.

What we are looking for:

-GOOD ATTITUDE, A willingness to learn along with excitement and respect for the industry plus going the extra mile

-Your own reliable transportation - we are looking for dependability

-Able to work both days and nights. (you must be able to work until 10pm during the week and 12pm on the weekends).

-Presentable appearance is a must.

Cornerstone has become quickly one of the most sought after restaurants in the Philadelphia after almost 9+years focusing on amazing guest experience pairing food with an award winning wine and cocktail program. Garnering many regional and national awards from Wine Spectator and Christine Kondra as Best Sommelier on the Mainline of Philadelphia.

Christine & Nicholas Kondra, owner & chefs + husband & wife team returned home after spending 10 years in Boston & Nantucket to open Cornerstone in the Fall of 2015. Christine working as a private chef & restaurant owned by the famed chef partners Jamie Bissonnette & Ken Oringer. Nick working his way up on the Nantucket & Boston restaurant scene, working at the famed Straight Wharf Restaurant (Nantucket) & Ten Tables in Harvard Square. Upon returning in Jan '14, Nick became the pasta chef at Amis under the well respected Brad Spence & Marc Vetri.
