Job Title: Sommelier

Ezio’s is a new fine dining steakhouse coming to Miami beach brought to you by the team behind Roberta’s, Blanca and Foul Witch in NYC. Ezio’s is a boutique Italian steakhouse specializing in dry-aged meats, handmade pastas, and a curated natural wine and spirits program. Our mission is to deliver an exceptional dining experience rooted in craft, integrity, and hospitality to bring a Michelin caliber dining experience that feels both elevated and personal.
As a Sommelier at Ezio’s, you’ll lead the wine and beverage experience for our guests, guiding them through our thoughtfully curated wine list. You will serve as an ambassador of our cellar, ensuring every table receives expert, thoughtful recommendations that enhance their dining experience. This role requires deep wine knowledge, a passion for education, and a commitment to service that is warm, genuine, and precise.

Qualifications:- 2+ years of sommelier or wine-focused service experience in a fine dining restaurant
- Strong foundation in wine theory, tasting, and service; formal certifications (CMS, WSET, etc.) are a plus
- Deep knowledge of Italian wines, natural wines, and classic old-world regions
- Ability to create personalized recommendations while reading guest preferences and price sensitivity
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate guests without pretense
- Professional, team-oriented attitude with a passion for mentoring FOH staff
- Ability to multitask under pressure while remaining calm, polished, and organized
- A genuine passion for hospitality, food, wine, and continuous learning
- Guide guests through the wine list, offering pairing recommendations tailored to their tastes and menu selections
- Perform tableside wine service with precision, elegance, and adherence to Ezio’s standards
- Maintain, organize, and track the wine cellar, inventory, and beverage storage areas
- Assist in purchasing, receiving, and stocking wine and spirits
- Lead pre-shifts and ongoing wine education for FOH staff to strengthen overall beverage knowledge
- Collaborate with the General Manager on list development, seasonal updates, and by-the-glass selections
- Conduct staff tastings, trainings, and exams to elevate service standards
- Support Servers on the floor to ensure seamless, integrated service
- Maintain impeccable glassware standards and oversee wine service equipment
- Manage corkage policies, special requests, and VIP wine experiences
- Uphold Ezio’s hospitality philosophy — warm, knowledgeable, and guest-focused at every touchpoint
- Food Handlers Certificate that meets local requirements
- Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to take and give direction, work cleanly, and stay organized under pressure
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
