About the Role

Cuerno is seeking a Maitre D’ to serve as the centerpiece of our guest reception experience. We’re looking for someone with a refined, polished, and confident presence, capable of creating an elevated first impression while managing a high-energy, high-profile door.

This role requires exceptional professionalism, strong hosting ability, and the poise to represent the brand in a stylish, upscale environment. The ideal candidate brings both the grace of luxury hospitality and the operational strength needed to support a busy New York dining room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests with a warm, elevated, and attentive demeanor, setting the tone for the Cuerno experience.

  • Manage reservations, pacing, and overall door flow using Resy with accuracy and strategic awareness.

  • Coordinate closely with management on seating strategy, VIP handling, and service flow adjustments.

  • Maintain a polished and brand-appropriate presentation in accordance with company standards.

  • Support communication between FOH and BOH to ensure seamless operations throughout service.

  • Assist with special requests, high-touch moments, and guest experience enhancements.

What We’re Looking For
  • A poised, polished, and confident professional presence.

  • Ability to create an elevated welcome experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Strong communication skills and a guest-first mindset.

  • Experience with Resy or a similar reservation platform (highly preferred).

  • Prior hosting or front desk experience in upscale, luxury, or high-profile venues.

  • Composure, grace, and adaptability when managing busy or high-pressure moments.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($24.00 - $28.00) plus tips
