About The Role
Marea Beverly Hills, part of the renowned Altamarea Group, is seeking professional, personable, and highly organized Hosts to provide a warm and welcoming first impression to guests. The ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, the ability to manage reservations, and ensure each guest feels valued and appreciated from the moment they walk in. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Host or Maitre'D in a fine dining restaurant. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests promptly with a friendly, courteous demeanor, and manage the check-in process while maintaining an organized and efficient waiting area.
  • Oversee the reservation system, ensuring accurate guest bookings and making adjustments as needed for special occasions or requests.
  • Guide guests to their tables, managing seating arrangements to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and smooth service flow.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, take reservation calls, and handle any special requests or complaints in a polite and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the service team, ensuring all guest needs are communicated and met promptly. Maintain close coordination with servers and management to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of the entrance and dining room area, ensuring the space is visually appealing and ready for service.
  • Ensure every guest is welcomed warmly and leaves with a lasting positive impression. Manage guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and offering solutions.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage and organize the flow of guests through the reservation system, including walk-ins and special requests.
  • Communicate guest preferences, special occasions, or requirements to the team to deliver a personalized experience.
  • Assist in maintaining menus, host stand, and any necessary organizational materials.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to review menu changes, special events, or specific guest requests.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a host or similar guest-facing role within a fine dining or high-end restaurant is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to Marea’s grooming and dress code standards.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly while handling multiple guest requests.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00) plus tips
