We're hiring passionate, experienced, service-driven Bar Back, Busser, Food Runner for an upscale Restaurant / Lounge located in the Soho / Lower East Side area. Join a dynamic and fast-growing hospitality group committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Guest-Focused Service: Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with all departments—kitchen, management, and fellow service staff—to create a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
- Special Events Support: Assist with special events, private parties, and catering functions, adapting fluidly to evolving service needs and maintaining composure under pressure.
- Professional Standards: Uphold high standards of professionalism, consistency, and cleanliness, ensuring a polished and inviting atmosphere for guests.
- Guest Satisfaction: Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, addressing any issues with empathy and efficiency to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Whole House Mentality: Embody a “whole house” mentality, working as part of a cohesive team across departments to support the overall success of the restaurant.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of service standards and guest expectations.
- Wine & Cuisine Interest: Interest or experience in natural wine and French cuisine is a plus but not required. A passion for food, beverage, and hospitality is essential.
- Communication & Detail: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order-taking and guest interactions.
- Team Player: A collaborative and team-first mindset, demonstrating a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Availability: Flexible availability to work lunch and dinner shifts, including weekends and holidays, accommodating the demands of the restaurant industry.
- Adaptability: Ability to stay calm under pressure, problem-solve effectively, and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
