POSITION SUMMARY
Almyra Restaurant, by The Estia Group is now hiring experienced Bartenders to join our team! The Bartender should be an expert in spirits, liqueurs and cocktails and should have a strong knowledge of the menu and wine list.
Essential Duties:
- Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness
- Engage the guests to create positive dining experiences
- Prepare the mise en place for the bar
- Pour all drinks for bar guests and from printed tickets for servers
- Execute on-going side work
- Open and close the bar
- Assist with inventory of all alcohol and beverages as needed
- Maintain the bar clean at all times
- Be knowledgeable of food items and wine list
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a fine dining high volume environment
- Knowledge of and interest in fine cuisine and wines
- Outstanding knowledge of liquors and spirits
- Actively practice food safety procedures
- Able to take direction and complete tasks
- Organizational skills
- Effective time management
- Pleasant demeanor
- Positive and clear written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to engage guests successfully and build a relationship
- Impeccable grooming as defined by management and dress code
What we look for:
- Available to work weekends
- 2+ years’ bartending experience preferably in a high volume concept
- English fluency
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs
