Dishwasher

The Purple Pig in Oakbrook is seeking dishwashers to join and work with our opening hospitality crew!

Dishwashers will operate the restaurant’s dish machine and/or three compartment sink, stock and stack dishes, glassware and silverware, keep the dish area clean and orderly, and assist with putting orders away when asked. We are searching for hard-working individuals with a great attitude and who are able to work in a fast-paced, creative atmosphere.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Skills

-Responsible for proper use of the dishwasher machine; sets-up, runs and empties the dish

machine and also sanitizes and de-limes the equipment

-Required to keep a clean and adequate supply of china, glassware, silverware and utensils

for the kitchen staff

-Scrubs all pots and pans

-Maintains the dish area to be kept organized

-Restocks kitchen items prior to running out (ie: soaps, rags, cleaning utensils)

-Disposes of trash and replaces trash can liners throughout restaurant

-Breaks down boxes and disposes in recycling

-Sweeps and mops floors throughout restaurant

-Assists with putting inventory away, as needed

-Opportunity to assist with prep projects if needed

-Must comply with and maintain safety and sanitation standards at all times

Education and/or Experience:

-Must have open availability including AM, late nights, weekends, & holidays

-Must have ANSI-accredited Servsafe Food Handler Certification upon hiring

-Knowledge of proper equipment handling and fluid application

-Able to work in a team environment and take direction from the kitchen managers

-Able to stand and exert mobility during shift
