Executive Chef

SodexoMagic is seeking an Executive Chef with fine-dining culinary skills and hands-on food production experience to join our team at the exclusive American Airlines/British Airways (AA/BA) lounges at JFK Airport.

Our airport lounges are dedicated spaces for passengers to relax and rejuvenate while awaiting their next adventure. Join our team of experience-makers and food fanatics and be part of creating memorable experiences!  Sodexo operates this 3-tiered lounge, which services international, long-haul travelers and offers top-tier amenities and expanded premium food and beverage offerings. 

SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. This strategic alliance between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo, Inc., enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve.

• be responsible for purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, hands-on cooking;
• supervision of large-scale batch cooking;
• ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
• have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
• ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
• have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
