Home Appetit is Philadelphia's premier meal prep delivery and personal chef service, delivering to clients within a 50 mile radius around Philadelphia. From busy professionals, to young families, and numerous professional athletes, we provide service to a wide array of clients with our varied service options. We are currently hiring highly competent individuals with a strong work ethic, detail focused approach, professional demeanor and presentation, and chefs looking for more flexible schedules (Mostly daytime hours with generous benefits = high quality of life).
In this position you will be assisting the head chef to receive, lead prep and production shifts, organize/ track product, and execute/test various recipes for weekly production. The hours will be mostly daytime shifts with potential for some evening shifts in the future. We are offering a highly competitive annual salary with benefits, financial bonuses, and unlimited PTO
The ideal candidate exhibits the following characteristics:
- High level attention to detail and structure
- Proactive ("figure it out" approach)
- High quality standards
- Strong communication skills (spanish proficiency is a big plus!)
- 2-5 years experience cooking in top quality restaurants/catering/events and/or personal chef/private event experience
- Ability to read and execute standardized recipes
- Can use applied math in problem solving
- Ability to work independently and with a larger team
