Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bartender to join our team at Twelvemonth and provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Tell culinary stories about Twelvemonth that illustrate our commitment to vegetable-forward creativity and sustainability. Each bartender's primary objective is to show our guests a marvelous time that exceeds their expectations and to create memorable guest experiences that inspire return visits and genuine connections.

Guest Service & Experience

Greet all guests warmly and guide them through their dining journey with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Communicate the Twelvemonth story and ethos—emphasizing our commitment to sustainability, plant-based cuisine, and seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

Accurately describe menu items, ingredients, and preparation techniques; offer thoughtful recommendations and answer all guest questions with confidence and care.

Ensure all guests' needs are anticipated and met throughout their meal, responding promptly and gracefully to any concerns or requests.

Engage with guests to build rapport and foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

Operational Excellence

Preparation and workflow 
  • Pre-shift setup: Stock all necessary items, such as garnishes, ice, and mixers, and prepare them for easy access.
  • Workflow efficiency: Organize your bar layout for a logical sequence of tasks to minimize wasted movements.
  • Standardize recipes: Have clearly defined recipes to ensure consistency and make training easier.
  • Batching: Prepare components of popular cocktails in advance to reduce preparation time during busy periods. 

Team Collaboration

Participate in daily pre-shift meetings to stay informed about menu changes, special offerings, and service goals.

Support fellow servers, hosts, bussers, and kitchen staff with a team-first attitude.

Provide training support for new staff members when needed, sharing knowledge of Twelvemonth standards and values.

Sustainability & Storytelling

Promote and educate guests on Twelvemonth’s sustainable practices, including waste reduction and local sourcing.

Embody and share our philosophy of mindful hospitality, inspiring guests to connect with the environmental mission of the restaurant.

Stay informed about seasonal ingredients, sourcing partners, and culinary innovations in order to enrich guest interactions.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume, fine dining or upscale casual restaurant environment preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality and guest service.

A genuine interest in plant-based cuisine and sustainability is a plus.

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and multitask effectively in a dynamic setting.

Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
