Key Responsibilities
● Directly supervise kitchen staff daily, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
and that the kitchen runs smoothly throughout service.
● Partner with the Executive Chef to operate an efficient, cost-effective kitchen.
● Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of kitchen employees.
● Ensure proper use and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
● Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards to ensure a great guest
experience.
● Work a station as needed and serve as expeditor when required.
● Ensure every dish leaving the kitchen meets Blazerz standards.
● Assist with labor management, including scheduling adjustments based on business
needs.
● Participate in weekly manager meetings and contribute ideas to improve kitchen and
restaurant operations.
● Maintain strict compliance with Department of Health standards; uphold exceptional
cleanliness and sanitation.
● Provide training and support to Front-of-House staff, including menu knowledge and
dietary accommodations.
Qualifications
● Previous culinary management experience in a full-service restaurant.
● ServSafe Certified Food Manager preferred.
● Proven culinary skills with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team.
● Ability to multitask and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong understanding of food cost and inventory management.
● Proficiency with computers, Google Suite, and Excel.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Experience with Toast POS and Back Office systems is a plus.
● Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
● Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
● Ability to stand/walk for extended periods with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and
overhead reaching.
● Ability to safely use culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and full
tasting/smelling ability.
