SERATA Restaurant is known for our commitment to quality, traditional techniques, and innovative flavors. We are looking for a dedicated and creative professional to join our team, mastering both the art of artisanal bread making and the delicate craft of pastry and cake decoration.
๐ The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Baker & Pastry Chef to take responsibility for both our daily bread production and our custom pastry and cake orders. This is a unique hybrid role for a versatile individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about all aspects of baking.
๐ฅ Key Responsibilities (Bread & Bakery)-
Mixing, kneading, proofing, and baking a wide variety of artisanal breads (e.g., sourdough, baguettes, rye, whole wheat, specialty loaves).

Maintaining strict quality control over fermentation and baking processes to ensure consistent, high-quality products.

Managing inventory of baking ingredients and reporting stock needs to the Head Chef/Manager.

Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the bread station and general kitchen area.

Preparing, baking, and decorating a range of pastries, including tarts, cookies, laminated doughs (croissants, danishes), and viennoiserie.

Designing, baking, and expertly decorating custom cakes for special occasions (birthdays, weddings, etc.), using various icings, fillings, and decorative techniques (fondant, buttercream, piping).

Developing and testing new recipes for pastries and seasonal baked goods.

Ensuring all pastry and cake products meet aesthetic standards and flavor profiles.

Minimum 2-5 years of professional baking experience in a high-volume bakery or similar food service setting.

Proven expertise and a deep understanding of artisan bread making, including starter maintenance and long fermentation techniques.

Demonstrable experience in pastry production and professional cake decorating.

Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation guidelines, and kitchen equipment operation.

Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple product lines simultaneously.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $28.00)
