We are seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) who is passionate about pasta, craft cocktails, natural wines, and providing superb hospitality. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! In addition to your salary, you'll receive health insurance and paid time off.
**About Us**
We are a neighborhood Italian Restaurant in Park Slope, Brooklyn, specializing in pasta. Every detail — from decor to drinks — is meticulously crafted with a unique blend of nostalgic charm and timeless sophistication. Whether it’s happy hour with coworkers, a romantic pre-dinner cocktail, or a celebration, we are here to help people celebrate and make memories.
**What We Need**
The AGM will oversee servers, bartenders, bussers, barbacks, and the many operations vital to the establishment. You must lead by example and embody our brand, while ensuring all FOH staff deliver the best possible guest experience. The AGM will also help seat guests and ensure all guests have a great experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Maintaining appropriate staffing levels (adjusting as necessary) on a per-day and per-shift basis, handling call-outs and vacation requests, and covering last-minute shifts.
* Leading new staff orientations, including onboarding, dress code guidelines, required training videos, and scheduling training.
* Establishing and maintaining training programs specific to various FOH roles.
* Taking all reasonable and necessary measures to ensure that we obtain (or maintain) a letter grade of “A” from the DOH.
* Supporting the actions and decisions of fellow managers to ensure a cohesive management team.
* Suggesting and implementing disciplinary action when necessary, with fellow management team members serving as witnesses.
* Meeting regularly with the General Manager and Executive Chef to ensure FOH staff knows and is trained on any menu additions or specials.
* Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with the BOH team.
* Managing processes for opening and closing, ensuring that standards are being met.
* Leading by example and being proactive in finding solutions during service.
* Serving as the eyes and ears of the owners when they are not around, making sound decisions, seeking help when appropriate, and communicating consistently with owners and the Director of Operations.
**Qualifications**
* At least 3 years of AGM or GM experience
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Available and willing to work nights and weekends, generally 50-55 hours, 5 days per week
Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $70,000.00)

We opened our first location in Park Slope in 2020, during the pandemic. With lines every night and growing demand, we expanded and opened a bigger location just 4 blocks away. We are a very busy neighborhood gathering spot to eat fresh pasta

Our cooking is simple and comforting. We have seasonal salads, tasty things to add to your pasta, like burrata, house made ricotta and crispy prosciutto. All of our sauces are made from scratch, and we use local, organic ingredients whenever possible. Our homemade focaccia is pretty fantastic too!
Bar Louise has classic cocktails paired with thoughtfully designed small plates. The art deco decor makes you feel like you walked into a snazzy bar in the 1940s, and the Mid-Century Americana dishes from the kitchen will make you swoon.
Pasta Louise was founded by restauranteur and cookbook author Allison Arevalo. She owns and runs all three locations with her business partner Dan Romero, who is the director of operations.
