About Us:
Everything Bar Chicago is a small, friendly neighborhood bar that hosts occasional pop-up events. We’re looking for outgoing, reliable team members who can serve guests and also greet and check in attendees at the door when needed.
Position Overview
The Server/Host is responsible for providing warm, attentive service to all guests, both in the bar and at the entry. This role includes taking orders, running food and drinks, checking in ticketed guests for pop-ups, and creating a welcoming experience from the moment guests arrive.
Key Responsibilities

Greet guests at the door and manage check-ins for pop-up events.

Provide friendly, efficient table service, including taking orders, processing payments, and delivering food/drinks.

Maintain a clean and organized bar and dining area.

Assist with seating guests and managing waitlists when needed.

Communicate clearly and positively with guests and team members.

Follow all food safety and alcohol service guidelines.

Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

Support overall bar operations as needed.
Qualifications
-
Previous serving or hosting experience preferred.

Familiarity with Toast POS is a major plus.

Ability to stay calm and friendly in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Scheduling & Pay

Schedule is posted via 7shifts.

Paid biweekly on Fridays.

Servers take home cash tips nightly.
-
Credit card tips and hourly pay are issued via check.
